Fund and Implement a 24/7 National Mental Health Crisis Response Service
Fund and implement a 24/7 national mental health crisis response service, integrated into the 999 system, so that people experiencing mental health crises are attended by trained crisis professionals rather than police or ambulance services where there is no immediate physical danger.
Increase funding for NHS counsellors and review current referral pathways
I want referral pathways from GPs for mental health issues to be reviewed, and improved. There is a need for a robust recruitment drive for actual counsellors and specialists in the NHS, and for better observance of the principle that mental health should be treated like physical health.
Fund free mental health condition prescriptions for all who need them

Subsidise cost of private therapy for those on NHS mental health waiting lists
As highlighted by some UK charities/organisations, the mental health system is facing severe challenges. Some specialist services via the NHS have waiting times of 6 months and more. This is far too long to wait for those in a crisis.
