We would like the Government to make the house buying process easier by requiring all surveys and paperwork, including any probate certificates to be completed by the seller before the house is put on the market.

Make Japanese Knotweed surveys mandatory when selling property
Make it mandatory for the seller to undertake a survey for Japanese knotweed during the sale of their property.
Require councils to conduct annual survey of all local properties.
We believe an annual survey of residential and business properties would allow local council to establish empty accommodation and unlawful businesses who are not registered or paying tax or national insurance contributions.
Make supporting documentation for estate inventory and accounts compulsory
We think the Government should bring in a law to make it compulsory to provide supporting documentation with estate accounts, so that executors and administrators can be held to account properly.
Reform probate law to regulate executor powers & protect beneficiaries’ rights
Reform probate laws, including creating clear, legally binding timelines that executors must follow, mandatory will disclosure, and sanctions for delays or non-compliance. We believe beneficiaries need protection, transparency, and enforcement when executors fail in their duties.
