Fund free bus passes for all carers of disabled people
Amend the English National Concessionary Travel Scheme, Transport Act 2000 and relevant legislation, and fund mandatory free bus passes for all carers of disabled people. There are disabled people who cannot travel without their carers and we think carers should be able to travel with them for free.
Allow motorcycles in all UK bus lanes where taxis are permitted
Require all highway authorities to allow motorcycles in any bus lane that already permits taxis. Update DfT guidance to make motorcycle access the default, ensure consistent rules nationwide, and amend traffic orders and signage accordingly.
Require all forms of public transport to have compulsory quiet areas
I would like the Government to require all forms of public transport to provide enclosed, quiet areas with doors where passengers are prohibited from using mobile phones and other electronic devices with the speaker on.
Fund free bus travel for all post-16 students
We want the Government to fund free bus travel for post-16 students. We want free reliable travel for all post-16 students.
Use legislation to expand the Network Railcard to cover all of Great Britain
Use legislation, including the Great British Railways Bill, in consultation with the Scottish and Welsh governments, to expand the Network Railcard to cover all of Great Britain so adults aged 30+ and off-peak groups can access discounted rail travel nationwide and fares are modernised fairly.
