Review guidance for funded IVF

National
·72 reactions·100% agree

I want the guidance for same-sex couples accessing NHS-funded IVF to be reviewed to remove the requirement to prove infertility through costly artificial insemination. IVF should be funded for same-sex couples on the same terms as heterosexual couples.

Review criteria for fertility referrals on the NHS and fund research into PCOS

We want a review into NHS fertility guidelines to consider how people with PCOS and a BMI over 35 can access fertility referrals. We also want the Government to fund more research into PCOS, including causes, treatment, and finding a cure for this life-impacting condition.

Require all ICBs to offer 3 NHS-funded IVF cycles

We call on the Government to require all ICBs to offer 3 NHS-funded IVF cycles. We want an end to what we believe is a postcode lottery we believe fertility treatment should be fair, equal, and based on medical need, not where you live. We believe everyone deserves a chance to build a family

Fund AMH testing in the NHS and improve IVF access for low AMH women

Fund AMH testing as part of standard NHS fertility checks. Provide NHS IVF funding for women with low AMH, regardless of age or partner’s parental status. Allow patients to stop a cycle with less than 3 follicles without losing NHS entitlement.

Review care and support given to women facing ovary removal

Women facing ovary removal deserve clear information about surgical menopause, guidance on HRT/ alternatives, and proper follow-up care. Surgical menopause must be recognised as distinct from natural menopause, with individualised support reflecting its sudden, severe impact of hormone deprivation.

Review placenta accreta guidance

We are concerned not all women are properly informed of the risk of placenta accreta after caesarean section. 1 in 272 pregnancies result in Placenta Accreta, leading to hysterectomy, reconstructive surgery, haemorrhage, premature births, PTSD and even death of mother and/or baby.
