We believe threat of violent crime can make many feel unsafe. We ask Parliament to review weapons laws and allow adults to buy, possess and use regulated non-lethal self-defence items. The framework should cover product approval, licensed retailers, safe-use guidance and heavy penalties for misuse.

Fund self-defence for students and women, and legalise licensed defence tools
Introduce mandatory government-funded self-defence classes in schools for all students. Provide paid time off for women to attend government funded self-defence courses. Legalise regulated non-lethal self-defence tools for adults with licensing and training, such as pepper spray.
Allow stun guns or tasers to be carried and used in self defence
We demand the relaxing of firearms law to allow law abiding citizens, with no criminal or poor mental health background that suggests they are dangerous, to protect themselves and their family against intrusion or attack.
Permit off-duty police & (ex)military to carry batons for public safety
We request Parliament permit trained active and veteran military and police, whilst off-duty, to carry an authorised extendable baton for what we feel are the purposes of public safety and personal protection.
Legalise pepper spray in England
We call on the UK Government to: • Legalise and regulate pepper spray for self-defence • Restrict sales to over-18s and approved formulations only • Impose tough penalties for misuse • Provide clear guidelines on lawful self-defence
Make it an offence to carry a catapult in public without lawful defence
Change the law so catapult possession in public is an offence. Currently, police must prove intent or use to cause harm. We propose it becomes an absolute offence, like air rifles, without lawful defence. Rising attacks on people, animals, and wildlife show stronger powers are needed.
