I would like to see the police have more power to help those in crisis in their own homes. Without a warrant, they can only enforce a section 136 if it happens in public.

Conduct a review on the placing of under 18s on adult NHS wards
16-18 year olds are considered adults in the NHS and are often treated on adult wards. At 16, you are still a child. We think that until you are legally allowed to vote etc you should still be under children's medical care. It's wrong to force children to have to be in an adult ward.
Review access to mental health care for children & YP with learning disabilities
Conduct a review of current provision and make sure that children & young people with learning disabilities have equal access to mental health care. This group are at greater risk of mental health illness and need specialist support.
Review enforcement of Section 132 of the Highways Act
We think council's around the country are not using their legal powers to fine people and remove graffiti and items that are unsafely attached to railings, lamposts and bridges that can cause dangerous circumstance if left unchecked.
Reform the Mental Health Act to remove the detention of autistic people
The Government has promised to reform the Mental Health Act; we feel they have failed to do so. Meanwhile, autistic people have been forcibly detained and may spend years in unnecessary restraints, over medicated and isolated. We want the Government to release them into residential homes.
Review use of the 'Child in Need label by social workers & local authorities
We think the government should have a full, urgent review of how safeguarding applies to disabled children. We want respect and compassion for parent carers doing their best under impossible circumstances.
