I would like the Government to expand free school meals to cover all school children up until the end of sixth form.
Fund free uniform for children who get free school meals
I would like parliament to consider that some parents struggle to afford branded school uniform. I think it is extremely expensive, especially as children are likely to outgrow these clothes. I think the government should consider single parents who work multiple jobs spending over £100.
Fund free access for all home educated children to GCSE examinations
Fund free access for all home educated children to GCSE examinations. Access should be allowed through a private exam centre or other education setting. The cost should fall to government, not on the parents or carers.
Allocate share of per-pupil education funding to support home-educated children
We believe home-ed families should receive a share of per-pupil funding to support resources as home-ed children are entitled to a suitable education, yet families currently receive no direct funding, despite the state saving thousands of pounds when a child is educated outside the school system.
Increase funding to Local Authorities for home-educated children with safeguards
We want the Government to increase funding to local authorities so they can provide more funding to home-educated children. The funding should be conditional on parents submitting a clear education plan and providing regular updates to ensure this money is supporting the child’s learning.
