Establish BBC compensation scheme
We want the Government to require the BBC to establish a compensation scheme for TV licence fee payers who make successful claims to show that it has failed to ensure impartial news reporting as required by its Charter.
Amend BBC's Royal charter to bar and remove political advisers from BBC Board
Amend the BBC's Royal Charter to: a) bar anyone from the BBC Board who has held senior advisory roles in government or political party leadership in the past 10 years; and b) adjust legal thresholds to enable the removal of current board members with such affiliations.
Allow non-BBC service providers to grant UK TV licences
The Communications Act 2003 states “A television receiver must not be installed or used unless the installation and use of the receiver is authorised by a licence under this Part.” So far, the BBC is solely responsible for collecting licence fees.

We call on the Government to rename ‘BBC license fee’ to ‘BBC subscription. The public must be in no doubt that payment to watch the BBC and live TV is voluntary and the word 'licence' implies a legal requirement, which is not the case if they are not watching BBC or live tv.
Commission an independent review of the BBC funding model
Commission an independent review of how the BBC is funded, examining alternative models such as voluntary subscription, advertising, or a hybrid public-service levy, to ensure fairness, transparency, and sustainability in the current digital age.
