Scrap the Immigration Health Surcharge for those living & working in the UK

National
·481 reactions·100% agree

We believe the Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) is causing severe financial harm to migrants and their families. At present, the standard IHS fee is £1,035 per year. For a 10-year visa, this amounts to £10,350. We believe migrants working and paying taxes should be exempt from paying the IHS.

Keep 5-year ILR for Health and Care visa holders to protect the NHS

Instead keep the ILR requirement and reduce the workforce shortage and avoid uncertainty on their future.

Scrap route to ILR for children born in the UK with 7 years continuous residence

We would like the government to scrap this route which gives parents the right to apply for residency for their child if born in the UK & remained for seven years. We are concerned this is a loophole for illegal migrants to stay in the UK even if their applications have been refused many times.

Scrap ILR B2 English requirements for people already in the UK on family visas

Scrap B2 level English requirements for ILR for people who are already in the UK on family visas. We believe the B1 requirement should remain place for people already living in the UK in this route. The B2 requirement only apply to applicants arriving after 2025.

Scrap Payments on Account and increase self-employed personal allowance to £20k

Self-employed create jobs & drive growth, and we think the Payments on Account would be better invested in businesses. If we are late to pay it we pay interest, which we think is unfair! We call on the Government to scrap it and to raise the Personal Allowance to £20k for self-employed.
