We call on the UK Government to introduce legislation requiring social workers to use body-worn cameras during statutory home visits, child protection investigations, and formal assessments.
React
Members can read every reason.
Mandate Body Cams for staff who work with those with communication difficulties
We ask that the use of body-worn cameras for staff who work with those who have communication and severe learning difficulties, for example in schools, be made mandatory to help prevent any abuse and provide evidence when needed.
Require police to attend all welfare calls
I would like there to be a rule where police have to attend to people if they get a welfare call of someone vulnerable or in a bad mental state without judgement.
Introduce mandatory filming of all non-jury court proceedings in England & Wales
Legislate for mandatory video recording of all non-jury criminal and civil court proceedings (eg. police body cameras), with footage available on request to any party receiving an adverse order, ensuring full transparency, accountability, and protection from judicial error or prejudice without jury.
