Work with devolved governments to extend the grooming gangs inquiry
Work with devolved governments to extend the national inquiry into group based child sexual exploitation to Scotland and Northern Ireland. We think this is a form of group based child sexual abuse which has been significantly neglected, and which is at risk of becoming worse.
New independent, judge-led national Inquiry into the scandal of the Rape Gangs
We think the current grooming gangs inquiry has failed. Several survivors have resigned from its panel and there have been calls for the resignation of the Safeguarding Minister. Two prospective Chairs have walked away from the process. The new public inquiry must be fully independent.
Commission an independent inquiry into social care and social work
We call on the Government to commission an independent inquiry into the delivery of social work and social care services before making further progress on the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Bill.
Provide regular statements on the progress of the National Rape Gang Inquiry
We believe the National Rape Gang Inquiry, announced June 2025, lacks public updates on progress, scope, or timeline. We urge the Government to deliver regular statements on its status, form, any delays, and next steps, ensuring accountability and informing the public.
Hold public inquiry on safeguarding system and training in family courts
We think the Family Courts and social services, Cafcass, CPS are failing to safeguard children, overlooking evidence and allowing harmful practices. We want a public inquiry into accountability, what we see as systemic failings and bias, and effects of current procedures on child and family welfare.
