Legislate to create a democratic, peaceful withdrawal process for any UK nation from the Union. We believe that without a more clearly codified exit route, the Union could risk becoming involuntary. We think this could undermine democracy and breach the UK’s international obligations.

Write law that a referendum is required for the UK to be able to leave the ECHR
The European Convention on Human Rights enshrines our basic human rights, gives us the right to a fair trial, right to privacy and helps protect us from things like torture, unlawful killing, slavery but also punishment without law and freedom of speech, assembly, religion, privacy and much more.
Legislate to explicitly ban the Portsmouth Defence
We urge Parliament to formally abolish the homophobic Portsmouth Defence, which allowed offenders to justify violence on the basis of same sex sexual advances. This undermines the Equality Act and put LGBTQ+ lives at risk. We call for urgent legislative reform to formally ban this defence.
Referendum changing the UK from constitutional monarchy to a democratic republic
We think there should be a referendum on the future of the monarchy & the type of government they want to be part of. Stay as a constitutional monarchy or become a true & secular democratic republic. We think it's time we became a democratic republic, it's long overdue.
Create a UK Rights Charter to replace the EU Charter
Create a single, modern UK Rights Charter to replace the protections lost after leaving the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. Rights are currently scattered across different laws, and a unified charter would clearly set out the protections people can rely on today.
Ban the UK & constituent nation flags’ use for political purposes
Pass a law so no political party is allowed to use the national or constituent flags for any political purposes in any way. We want it to be a criminal offence to use, modify, alter or change the appearance of any national flag from the UK for political purposes.
