Remove Visa Requirements for Jamaican Citizens Visiting the UK

National
·1,038 reactions·100% agree

For over 20 years, UK visa rules have kept many Jamaicans from visiting loved ones here. My family, like many others, has missed weddings, births, and final goodbyes. Jamaica’s Windrush generation helped build the UK—now we ask for the same trust and welcome in return.

Allow Visa-Free Access for Turkish Citizens travelling to the United Kingdom

We call on the Government to introduce visa-free entry for citizens of Türkiye for visits including tourism, business, family visits and long term stays. Turkish citizens are humans too and we think they deserve the same access rights as citizens of countries with visa-free entry to the UK.

UK humanitarian visa for people displaced by Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica

Jamaica’s recent devastation from Hurricane Melissa has left thousands homeless and in urgent need of temporary refuge. As a Commonwealth partner with Caribbean ties, the UK should act with compassion by allowing temporary entry for those displaced by disaster and unable to return home safely.

Restrict free access to public services to UK citizens only

We urge the Government to restrict free access to public services, eg NHS and education, to UK citizens only. We believe illegal migration will always be an issue due to taxpayer-funded public services. By changing this, we believe we will lose appeal to asylum seekers.

End sponsorship requirements for skilled worker visa holders already in the UK

We believe skilled workers who follow the law, pay taxes and take no benefits should not face longer settlement or sponsorship dependence. We believe removing the sponsorship requirement for people on skilled worker visas is essential for safety and fairness.

Lower the joint combined income needed for a UK spouse visa to £18000

Lower the combined income threshold from £29000 to £18000 to apply for a family visa as a partner. We believe this will make it easier for ordinary people, earning ordinary salaries to get families and loved ones from other countries to reunite in the UK.
