We urge the Government to introduce statutory paid menstrual leave of up to 3 days per month for people with fibroids and PCOS, similar to Portugal’s model. We believe leave should come with strong workplace protections, be confidential and require a single annual medical certificate.

Introduce a statutory duty to acknowledge and support menstrual health.
We call on the UK Government to introduce new legislation placing a statutory duty on schools, colleges, training providers and employers to recognise, accommodate and support menstrual health and period-related impacts for girls and women, from adolescence through adulthood.
Require employers have monthly menstrual 1-3 day leave policy
We want the government to require workforces to allow women to have 1-3 days leave per month (outside of holiday and sick leave) during their menstrual phase.
Fund hair removal on the NHS for women with PCOS / hirsutism
The government to take a stand on women's health, hair removal for hormonal conditions should be considered a form of treatment, like medication would be for other health conditions. PCOS and hirsutism is uncontrollable and is a huge self confidence issue for many people.
Fund improvement to PCOS, Endometriosis, and Fertility Health care and treatment
We believe PCOS, endometriosis, and other fertility conditions are poorly understood, often dismissed, and leave patients in chronic pain with little hope. We urge the government to fund improvements in medical training and research to ensure earlier diagnosis, and provide proper long-term support.
Introduce statutory paid leave for 1 parent if child too ill for school/nursery
We call on the UK Government to give one parent per household a statutory right to paid leave when their child is too ill to attend nursery or school, with pay and requirements equivalent to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
