Fund extracurricular activities for children from low income backgrounds
Provide means-tested grants for families with a low income to send their children to extracurricular activities. This could include but is not limited to sports clubs, uniformed organisations, language and music tuition outside of school.
Increase funding for learning support in schools
Teachers and children need Teacher Assistants and Learning Support Assistants. We believe without vital help and support; teaching and education may suffer, which could have a detrimental effect on all children - not just the children with additional needs.
Mandate all schools to provide at least two PE lessons per week
We call upon the Department for Education and the Government to require all primary and secondary schools to provide at least two physical education (PE) lessons per week as part of the national curriculum.
Mandatory Political Education in Secondary Schools
As the voting age is lowered to 16, young people need mandatory political education in all secondary schools to ensure they can make informed democratic choices before they turn 18.
Increase Government funding for less commonly followed sports
I want the government to increase funding for less commonly followed and played sports at lower levels to increase peoples ability to play sports they love.
