Set up a defined contribution (DC) scheme for all public sector staff along the same lines as most private sector schemes (usually 4% staff & 6% employer contributions - staff can contribute more).

Government to fix private pension access age at 55
Private pensions have historically been accessible from 55. In light of rising retirement ages, the Government must remove the 10-year link to retirement age and permanently fix the minimum access age at 55. We believe that requiring long-term investment while postponing access is unreasonable.
Remove the triple lock commitment on pensions and tie increase to inflation only
We feel the triple lock on pensions is unaffordable and unjust. We think tying the increase in pensions to inflation only could ensure the living standards of those reliant on the pension are protected, and would be more affordable.
Increase annual Pension Protection Fund compensation for pre-1997 service
We want the Government to include annual increases (indexation) in Pension Protection Fund compensation for pre-1997 service.
Reverse ISA allowance cuts & salary-sacrifice pension contribution caps
We want the Government to reverse plans to cut ISA allowances AND place new caps on salary-sacrifice pension contributions. We believe ISA limits and salary-sacrifice rules should stay unchanged to protect access to tax-efficient saving, and Parliament should oppose attempts to reduce these benefits
Stop requiring NI contributions and Pay The Full State Pension to All
We call on government to stop requiring National Insurance (NI) contributions in order to pay out state pension. We feel this is a degrading, humiliating practice. We suggest that the Full State Pension is paid to all of state pension age.
