We want the government to reduce VAT to 15%. We think this could help growth within the economy, put money back into the public pocket, boost business confidence and improve the cost of living.

Do not increase VAT
There is speculation that VAT might be raised. We are already paying more VAT than most other countries and we believe the British public cannot handle any further price increases. Businesses are struggling as it is and raising VAT could cause further damage to our economy.
Reduce VAT on public electric vehicle charging to 5% in line with home charging
Reduce VAT on public vehicle charging to 5% inline with home charging so people without home/off street parking are not penalized. I think it would accelerate the potential of electric vehicle take up.
Remove VAT on all public utility bills
We believe VAT was never meant to be applied to life essentials and it was meant to be a BREXIT benefit. The UK has some of the highest electricity prices in Western Europe! We believe this is why so many citizens struggle whilst energy companies make huge profits, and why GDP is low.
Amend VAT rates to Extend Zero Rating to include Educational Facilities
We call on the UK Government to amend VAT legislation so that construction, conversion, and major refurbishment work for educational facilities can qualify for zero rating when undertaken by or for Schools, Academy Trusts, Local Authorities, and Registered Educational Charities.
Remove all VAT on applicable Licensed Taxis
Remove VAT charges for all applicable licensed public-hire taxis, including London black cabs. Buses and trains are zero-rated for VAT under the VAT Act 1994. All licensed taxis, regardless of income, should receive the same treatment as public transport to support clean, accessible travel.
