All pre-settled status students to be charged home fees instead of international
I would like the government to make it law that students with pre-settled status are eligible for paying home tuition fees and allowed to take out a student loan.
Allow all dependent children of Skilled Workers to pay home tuition fees
We are concerned the proposed changes to ILR routes could significantly affect the hopes and dreams of many dependent children of Skilled Worker visa holders, possibly hindering their goals, postponing their degrees due to high international tuition fees and entering lower skilled jobs.
Treat students without ILR as Home students after 3 years’ UK residence
Don't charge overseas fees for students who have lived in the UK over 3 years
Exempt students who arrived before July from changes to visa/settlement rules
Maintain the 2-year Graduate Route for students who arrived before July 2025 and allow transition to the Skilled Worker visa under pre-July 2025 rules, with a clear 5-year residency pathway to ILR.
Include children not living with one parent in all benefits and housing claims
When applying for Universal Credit or Social Housing, you are only allowed to declare children that permanently reside with you. The government should amend the law to allow children that visit on a regular basis to be included in these calculations.
