Update business mileage allowance from 45p per mile (not changed since 2011).
The business mileage rate has been stuck at 45p per mile since 2011 – despite fuel, insurance, and maintenance costs soaring. It’s an unfair, outdated rate that penalises the self-employed and small businesses, effectively becoming yet another hidden tax on those driving the economy.

Many people depend on driving for work, education, and family life, with no viable public transport. We think a pay-per-mile tax would unfairly hit many families, shift workers and parents supporting children’s sports.
Use legislation to expand the Network Railcard to cover all of Great Britain
Use legislation, including the Great British Railways Bill, in consultation with the Scottish and Welsh governments, to expand the Network Railcard to cover all of Great Britain so adults aged 30+ and off-peak groups can access discounted rail travel nationwide and fares are modernised fairly.
