Change the 30 free childcare hours to include Ofsted registered nannies
We believe nannies chances of employment are drastically reducing due to the 30 free hours only being offered to childminders and nursery settings, and call on the government to include registered nannies in the offer.
Increase 30 free hours childcare availability to cover 52 weeks per year
Increase the current offer of 30 free hours of childcare per week to cover 52 weeks instead of 38 weeks per year.
Require 3-month SEN school placements for all trainee teachers
I want the Government to require all trainee teachers to complete a 3-month placement in Special Educational Needs schools so they can understand neurodiverse children, learn strategies to support them, and ensure every child can thrive in mainstream education.
Simplify the process for parents to claim entitlement to 30 Hour Free Childcare
We call on the Government to introduce legislative and operational changes to the administration of 30 hours free childcare entitlement so that eligible parents are not exposed to avoidable financial hardship and emotional distress caused by short reconfirmation windows and unclear wording.
Fund pay for student nurses and midwives for placement hours
Student nurses and midwives are the heart of our NHS doing work for free. Many of us are unable to financially support ourselves.
