Orla Weir
Green Party candidate for Hale
I'm Orla, your local Green Party candidate for Hale. As a resident living in the Hale ward, I know the difference that committed Green councillors make for the local community. They can be trusted to work hard and get results for residents - making roads safer, getting dangerously damaged fences repaired, tackling flood problems and supporting community groups like the Friends of Stamford Park to help them achieve Green Flag status. Our Green team have led the way for Trafford to be one of the first councils to declare a climate emergency, we've challenged misinformation about people seeking asylum, and we've held the council to account to update the Flood Risk Management Strategy - the first review since 2014. By keeping the Green team in Hale together, I can continue this hard work, and be a strong voice for positive change and inclusion in Hale, speaking up for all residents.
