Councillor Joseph Vambe grew up on the Rockingham Estate in Chaucer, the ward he now represents. He is now the Labour lead on young people and community engagement, championing residents’ influence on local decision-making. Joseph was the first ‘Stormzy Scholar’, awarded a fully funded place at the University of Cambridge.
