In Monsur's own words

I have lived in Southwark for 15 years, attended university in South London and now work here too. I have a strong and long-standing connection to this borough and care deeply about the people who call it home.  I am a passionate Liberal who believes in equality, social justice and making sure everyone feels safe and supported.

I have volunteered with Crisis at Christmas, helping the homeless, and I have worked with former Councillor Poddy Clark on community engagement and casework, listening to residents, tackling local issues and standing up for those who need help.  I have recently joined the campaign to keep the public counter at Walworth Police Station open 24/7, because accessible policing and safer neighbourhoods are essential for all of us. This work has shown me how much stronger Southwark becomes when everyone has a voice.I am standing to fight for safer streets, better housing and a fairer society. I will be visible and represent our community with honesty and hard work.
