Councillor Candidate
Ian Richard Hodgson

Ian Richard Hodgson

Reform UK candidate for Launton and Otmoor

Reform UK

I'm Ian Hodgson, Chairperson for Reform UK Bicester & Woodstock and a father committed to community and opportunity. With over 20 years leading in manufacturing industries – rising from engineer to Operations Director – I know firsthand the importance of efficiency, managing budgets, and developing skills. Government should operate with the same common sense, yet we see waste and bureaucracy hindering progress. I'm deeply concerned by the skills gap limiting our young people and the visible decline in our NHS, which I've experienced personally. Skilled staff are leaving due to poor conditions. Reform UK offers practical solutions: cutting waste, investing smartly in training and apprenticeships, and vital measures like income tax cuts for frontline health staff. It’s time to ditch slow-moving politics and apply a decisive, business-minded approach to get things done, delivering value and real opportunities. I’m committed to driving that change.
