Julian Skidmore
Green Party candidate for Pype Hayes
The Cost of Living Crisis continues to impact the area of Pype Hayes. As the Green Party candidate and resident of Pype Hayes for 14 years, as well as fulfilling my councillor duty to serve everyone in the ward, I also intend to work hard to: - Eliminate Pot Holes Across Pype Hayes (all candidates say this, but it is important). - Improve cross-community relations (e.g. Pype Hayes needs much better community hubs, we don't have anything that compares with Erdington nor Sutton Coldfield). - The Cost of Living crisis will hit us hard again over 2026 thanks to the war on Iran, we can tackle that through resource-sharing (FairShare, Food sharing, Car sharing). - Make Pype Hayes Clean again (programmes to reduce litter and dumping, but also car idling at schools, which is illegal anyway). - Reduce the Cost of Living through low-carbon community projects: Solar PV, EVs, Cycling through community projects.
