In Stephanie's own words

I’m standing for the Green Party because it has values that I share: caring for people, caring for the environment, and promoting local voices and local action. I worked in the NHS for 20 years as a psychologist and am acutely aware of the damage the pandemic has done to the mental health of children and adults. I know levels of loneliness in our society have increased and poverty is on the rise. And these are also bad for our mental health. I want us to work together to combat poor mental health on a community level.

Access to green spaces and connections with other people are beneficial for wellbeing so I want to see these protected and enhanced in our patch. I’m already a Tree-Keeper for Perry Common Meadows Tiny Forest. I want to see the people of Perry Common, Short Heath and the New Oscott estate develop our own local plan in partnership with the council to protect the quality of life of us all.
