In Joe's own words

I was born and raised in Birmingham, and I experienced first-hand what living under a Conservative government looked like, as our country and its greatest institutions slowly crumbled around us. Now I fear the rise of Reform and the similar damage they will do to my city and my country. I want to fight for a better Birmingham, where we can grow through common understanding and hard work, not by punching down at each other or magic solutions.

I am standing in Highter's Heath to offer a fresh voice to our community - one that will not stop fighting for us all and isn't afraid to say when times will be hard, but we can get through them together.

I make three pledges as a candidate:

1. **An active visible Councillor** - You won’t hear from me once every four years; I will tirelessly work for Highter's Heath and always keep you involved and informed on my work!

2. **A representative not an individual** - I will consult the residents of Highter's Heath on making decisions that are right for you, not impose them on you!

3. **Unity not division** - I will aim to bring the people of Highter's Heath together through the politics of community, not conflict. We can come together to stop a Reform administration that will cut our council’s most vital services and damage the city we love!
