In Richard's own words

Richard was born in Birmingham, moved to Cotteridge with his husband ten years ago and enjoys walks in local parks with his puppy. Professionally, he works in skills and education, helping people access training and employment. Richard cares deeply about the neighbourhood and wants to help ensure local services work well so that everyone has the chance to succeed.

In his job at a charity, Richard works with employers to help young people gain skills for work. He will build stronger links between schools and local businesses and champion the supported internships scheme at Selly Oak Trust School. Richard would push for Council contracts and planning approvals to include jobs and skills opportunities for local young people.
