My name is Martin power and I'm a member of United Kingdom Independence party I joined the party 2009 I was inspired by a conference that I attended at Torquay. I had decided to look at different political parties as I became very this appointed with the main parties I felt the didn't represent me.”

“The United Kingdom Independence party reminded me of what democracy is I was never comfortable been a member of the European Union. I was unhappy that on the elected politicians had a huge say in my day-to-day life our laws our courts. I decided that I too must get involved with UKIP to break away from the European Union and happily I was every part of that great event that did take place.”

“UKIP has evolved into a political force in British politics UKIP is not afraid to challenge the bigger parties on policies regarding bettering our lives here in Britain. I feel it's a real privilege to be able to fight an election in 2017 as we are the only party that can make sure we do leave the European Union. We believe in an English parliament for English MPs to make decisions about England. We want to abolished a House of Lords as it is old antiquated and serves no real purpose in British democracy. We want to take control of our borders while we welcome emigration we want to be able to choose who comes into our country.We want to be rebuilt our army, navy and air force, put more police on the streets, extra border patrol officers and extra prison officers. We want to abolish the Barnett formula where Scottish people get twice as much money per head from England than do English people. We want to make apprenticeships in skills just as important as University degrees. We would like to take back 10 billion foreign aid as we believe charity begins at home and we have an awful lot of problems in this country that needs to be addressed one been the overburdened NHS. We would continue to contribute to foreign aid and having taken the 10 billion away we would still be contributing the same foreign aid as America. We have a great manifesto please Google UKIP 2017 manifesto and read as we have lots of policies as we are a political party and not as some would say a pressure group.”
