In Simon's own words

Simon is corporate fundraiser for a national charity dedicated to supporting employment, justice services, education, young people and families. With a background in youth work, previously managing national citizen service programmes, supporting young people across Greater Manchester to develop independence, team working and employability and life skills.

Simon’s political awakening began in 2010 when he attended a march in London to protest against university fees being tripled. Since then he has been a passionate advocate for progressive politics believing we can bring about change when we work in solidarity.

"I look forward to campaigning to protect the green space around Westhoughton, push for measures to improve road congestion and take down the cheap, often damaged flags put up around town that have become an eyesore and don’t represent our welcoming community.”
