In Asif's own words

As an Independent candidate for Stonebridge, my priority is simple: putting our neighbourhood before party politics.

For too long, our ward has been treated as a safe seat for established parties who often prioritise town hall agenda's over the lived experiences of people on the St Raphael’s and Stonebridge estates. I am standing to ensure that when decisions are made about our homes, our community centres, and our future, your voice is the loudest one in the room.

I believe in local representation that is visible, accessible, and accountable. Working alongside fellow independent James Rossi, our "Vote for Your Neighbour" campaign is about reclaiming our community’s power. We don’t answer to party whips or distant leaders; we answer only to you.

My Pledges to Stonebridge Residents:

Estate-First Representation: I will be a dedicated advocate for the residents of the entire ward, ensuring our estates receive the investment and maintenance they deserve.

Protecting Community Assets: I am committed to the future of the Bridge Park Complex and will fight to ensure it remains a hub that serves the local people who built its legacy.

Direct Accountability: As an Independent, I have no party line to follow. My votes in the Council will always be based on what is best for Stonebridge, not what is convenient for a political party.

Transparency & Presence: I won't just appear at election time. I live here, I work here, and I will maintain a regular, open presence to tackle the "on-the-ground" issues—from fly-tipping to housing repairs—that often get ignored.

On 7 May 2026, you have a choice: more of the same, or a neighbour who will truly stand up for you.
