In Guy's own words

Guy started working in Brentford in 1977, and made it his home in 2008. Now retired, Guy serves as the Chair of the local credit union, and a trustee of Hounslow Community Foodbox. He already has a strong track record of supporting local residents, from averting evictions and having people in need rehoused, to clearing hundreds of instances of flytipping and grafitti.

Guy is passionate about social justice, and wants to work as a Councillor to defend ward residents. He hopes to shape the council in ensuring it delivers efficient, economic services, particularly to the most disadvantaged residents. He hopes to have regular interaction and dialogue with residents, and also communicate the work of the council through his widely-read blog.

Previously he was the CEO of a non-profit company, and a board director of a large IT company. He is keen to offer the skills and knowledge developed by this work to the council in whatever ways he can, particularly supporting the work of planning and scrutiny, licensing, audit, and pension committees.
