I believe that our communities deserve thoughtful long-term decisions that protect people, nature and animals. I care deeply about the environment and the animals, but my approach is practical and principled. From supporting our suburban wildlife and biodiversity to encouraging clean energy uptake while reducing household energy costs, I believe local government can and should make improvements to everyday life while preparing responsibly for the future. Like many residents I value the natural character of our neighbourhoods – the ancient oaks, owl calls at night and woodpecker drumming in the morning , the buzz of bumblebees and gentle singing of robins. Nature needs protection from pollution and from loss of green space, and I would do my best to stop any harm being done to it. I have previously participated in actions both national and international to protect nature and to give voice to wild and domesticated animals. I fully support initiatives to rewild and to reintroduce lost species. Wherever there is opportunity to help animals, I will take it. I’m also interested in practical solutions that would benefit us all - improving our health by addressing air and light pollution, supporting sustainable transport options and improving safety of cycling in the borough, and making sure that local decisions are transparent and fair. My priorities are clear – human health, restoration of nature and protection of all animals. A vote for me is a Green vote.
