Conservative candidate for Hayes & Coney Hall
Diane has lived in Hayes for over 42 years and has been a Councillor in Kelsey and Eden Park since 2010. This is the area where she grew up. A pupil at Balgowan School in Beckenham and then Langley Park Grammar School for Girls, Diane qualified as a physiotherapist from the Royal London Hospital in 1981. She spent 27 years working in the NHS in and around Bromley. During her professional career in the health service, Diane held both clinical and senior managerial roles, so she brings a wealth of experience to her current Cabinet position at Bromley Council as Executive Portfolio Holder for Adult Care and Health. Since taking up her Cabinet post, the Council have won three national awards, two with NHS colleagues. These relate to hospital discharge and a homeless project, and one in recognition of Bromley Council’s groundbreaking work in tackling loneliness in the Borough. This is now being looked at with a view to supporting policy development in Continental Europe.
