In Elizabeth's own words

Bromley Labour is delighted to announce that local resident Elizabeth Morgan has been selected as its candidate for the 24 July by-election in Bromley Common and Holwood. The vote was triggered following the sad passing of Councillor Jonathan Laidlaw.

Elizabeth brings a wealth of experience to her candidacy, having held senior roles in finance and technology across both government and the private sector, most recently as COO for a local technology company.

Elizabeth has lived in the ward for more than a decade and can regularly be seen enjoying Bromley’s many green spaces and attending community events, such as the weekly Parkrun in Norman Park.

Elizabeth said: “I’m honoured to have been selected as the Labour candidate in Bromley Common and Holwood, a place where I’m raising my young family and have lived for over 10 years. “I’m excited to get out and talk to our residents and businesses about how to improve the quality of life and work in the ward. If I’m elected I commit to being an effective and visible advocate for the issues that matter most to our community.”

Leader of Bromley Labour Group Councillor Simon Jeal said: “Elizabeth lives in the ward and is a visible member of the community. She will work hard as a local Councillor to support every resident. Like all of our Councillors across Bromley, she wants to make a real difference to her community. Bromley came within 300 votes of electing a Labour MP last year and I’m excited for Elizabeth to join our team on 24 July.”
