In Sarah's own words

As a member of Environmental Action Coney Hall, Friends of the Park and the Residents Association, I have been active in addressing a number of issues.

The trend for concreting over front gardens for cars is a potential cause of local flooding and ‘landscaping’ back gardens to make them easy to manage, leads to a loss of food sources and nature corridors.

On plans to convert our DIY store, Wickes in to 63 flats, there shop-keepers’ worries about unfair competition and about future pressure on infrastructure. I am keen to preserve the wildlife pond adjacent to the site which has been largely undisturbed for years.
