In Ed's own words

I have lived in Cheshunt for nearly 11 years and I now work in corporate affairs for a national trade association representing the British businesses underpinned by heritage crafts, a vital sector that supports over half a million skilled workers and contributes £81 billion to our economy. These businesses, rooted in generations of tradition, not only preserve our cultural identity but also serve as a powerful tool of British soft power on the world stage. I was born in Romania, but raised with traditional British values of hard work, fairness, and community. values that are deeply reflected in the craft sector. It’s a privilege to advocate for industries that keep these values alive and pass them on through skilled, meaningful employment across the country.

I joined the Labour Party in 2017, driven by a growing frustration with the deepening inequalities in society and the continued erosion of our public services under Conservative leadership. I believe passionately that government should invest in the things that make a real, positive difference in people’s lives: from strong local services to affordable housing, accessible healthcare, and secure, meaningful jobs. Everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive, not just the wealthy few. For me, Labour is the party best placed to rebuild a fairer, more inclusive Britain, one where prosperity is shared and no one is left behind.
