In Aliya's own words

As your local Fulham Candidate for the Palace and Hurlingham Ward Local Election on May 5th, I want to make sure that your voice is heard and your concerns are addressed by the Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

I have lived in Parsons Green with my husband for the last 7 years and in London for over 15 years. I run my own educational software and App development company. I am a STEM Academic Mentor for Secondary schools, currently teaching Maths and Science to students at the Hurlingham Academy to help them bounce back from lockdowns and school closures. I am actively involved in many local organizations like the Hammersmith and Fulham Volunteer Center, the Society of Fulham Artists and Potters, the Fulham Palace Trust and Friends of South Park.

There are three beautiful parks in my ward of Palace and Hurlingham and I am passionate about keeping them clean, well maintained and free of anti social behaviour. The council needs to fix broken and uneven pavements. I advocate for step free access at Putney Bridge tube station for the convenience of young families and the elderly. I want cleaner streets, more dog poo bins, removal of graffiti and flytipping efficiently. I enjoy walking and am concerned about the air quality and traffic congestion. The residents must be consulted properly before any Traffic Congestion Schemes are imposed in their neighbourhood which only moves the congestion and pollution to an adjacent street, while causing inconvenience to local residents, their visitors and contractors. I want the residents to enjoy safer lives and a cleaner environment in our wonderful borough with a crackdown on crime and antisocial behaviour.

Labour is letting its residents down. That is why I want to represent you in the council and fight for the issues you care about.

I sympathise with the residents’ disappointment in the 84% Increase in Crime, Negligence in maintaining Hammersmith Bridge which has caused its closure and pushed traffic and pollution into Fulham’s residential streets, increased Council Taxes, District Line Delays and frustration with the hike in Parking charges. Labour are wasting resources, playing politics and not making things easier or convenient for residents.

Labour are making a mess of this borough! It is time to send them a message so please VOTE CONSERVATIVE on Thursday 5th May 2022. We will hold them to account and work hard on providing you the excellence in service that you deserve as residents of H&F.

Our Plans:

1- Safer Neighbourhoods. Crack down on crime with more police, patrols and CCTV cameras. 2- Cleaner and Greener Streets. Better Recycling and more frequent Bin Collections. Well maintained Parks and sidewalks. 3- Better Resident’s Parking. More Parking spaces near tower blocks and cheaper parking near shops and high streets. 4- Efficient Council services. 5- Push for better District Line Tube service for Fulham commuters. 6- Lower Council Tax. 7- Re-Open Hammersmith Bridge and decrease congestion and pollution in Fulham. 8. Better maintained Council Housing.

On May 5th, use all three votes to Vote Conservative !
