In Chris's own words

Chris Johnstone has lived in Barnet for 50 years and has deep roots in the local community. Over that time, he has seen the area change and understands both the strengths of Barnet and the challenges residents face today. His children were educated locally, giving him a long-standing connection to local schools and neighbourhoods.

Chris is a retired Chartered Civil Engineer and also holds an MBA in IT Management. During his professional career he gained experience managing projects, budgets and technical teams, giving him a strong understanding of how organisations should operate efficiently and responsibly. With the time and experience to serve residents Chris wants to focus on delivering better value for money across council services, particularly when it comes to contracted work. If elected Chris will be approachable, responsive, and committed to listening to residents and helping resolve local issues.
