Councillor Candidate
Amy Louise Coxley

Amy Louise Coxley

Green Party candidate for Clayton East, Brindle & Hoghton

Green Party

Born and raised in Lancashire, I have grown up with the Chorley landmarks on my doorstep. To be able to enjoy Cuerden or Yarrow Valley on the doorstep, across to the gardens at Rivington or a wander through Astley Park is something we are so fortunate to have access to. Since having my two children though, I’ve become increasingly worried about the future we are leaving behind for these generations and the rise of both climate skeptics and populism in our collective decision-making. I believe that local people should be making decisions for local issues, and sometimes it can feel hard to know how best to come about changing the status quo. I like to focus much of my spare time in grassroot projects where I believe my voice, with others, can be a real force for good.
