Statement to voters
I take this by-election seriously despite the huge number of candidates and satirical candidates. I see nationally people want a bin to beat Reform, it would be hilarious, but this is no joke and the people of Clacton edearve an MP that will work for them and focus on local issues.
I am a normal hard-working Dad, with family in Clacton. I have the same challenges and struggles that most of us face. Finding work, paying ever-increasing bills, caring for family and getting fed up with mainstream politicians who simply do not understand real life.
Fully Independent – No party politics controlling my vote.
Self-funded – No billionaires to answer to or repay somehow.
A Normal Guy – Living the same challenges as everyone else.
Family and Community Focused.
I have been a carer for disabled people.
I have advocated for and helped elderly and disabled people.
Real local connections, as many of my family live here.
My main policies are below, but these will change based on the feedback and requests made by the people of Clacton if I am elected as their next MP.
Better healthcare and disability support.
I will campaign for better access to GPs, hospital treatment, physiotherapy and mental health services.
Disabled people must receive faster access to wheelchairs, mobility equipment, adaptations and community transport. Carers must also receive better practical and financial support.
Support for older people
Too many older people are isolated, lonely or struggling to access basic services.
I will support stronger community services, social activities, accessible transport and better coordination between the NHS, councils and local organisations.
Jobs, apprenticeships and local businesses
Clacton needs more secure jobs, better training and genuine opportunities for young people.
I will support apprenticeships, practical skills training and incentives for employers to recruit locally. Small businesses should be supported rather than buried under unnecessary costs and bureaucracy.
Housing for local people
People who have lived, worked, raised families or grown up in the area should not be pushed to the back of the housing queue.
I will campaign for more genuinely affordable homes, better use of empty properties and stronger priority for people with established local connections.
Controlled immigration and action against illegal working
Illegal immigration must be stopped and legal immigration must be properly controlled and managed.
Employers who knowingly exploit illegal workers should face serious penalties. Company directors should be held personally responsible where businesses repeatedly break the law.
Delivery platforms and other employers must also do more to prevent accounts being rented or shared by people who do not have the legal right to work.
Safer communities and proper justice
Sentences should reflect the seriousness of the crime. Persistent and violent offenders should not receive automatic early release.
Where a foreign national is due to be deported after serving a sentence, release should not take place until deportation arrangements are ready.
