In Andrew's own words

Unlike all three "Local" Conservative candidates, Andy actually lives in the ward. Andy Sparkes has lived in the ward for eighteen years and is married with two children who attended Smitham Primary and Oasis Acadamy. He had a 31 year career in the railway industry in various commercial roles culminating as Business Development Director for Virgin Trains. Now retired from the railway industry, he has become a part-time forester and has an active life volunteering on the Bluebell Railway and as secretary of the local allotment society. Andy also helps with the 1st Coulsdon Scouts. He would bring a wealth of business experience and a passion in transport planning to the role.
