In Ashley's own words

Unlike all three 'Local" Conservative candidates, Ashley actually lives in the ward. Ashley Burridge has lived in Coulsdon since 2007. His wife Kate is a Palliative Care specialist nurse at Croydon University Hospital. Their teenage children went to Smitham Primary where Ashley chaired the PTA for several years. In his spare time he is a UK Athletics Technical Official, timekeeping and judging at track & field and cross country events across the south of England. Ashley has a wealth of experience in the building industry and currently chairs a small housing charity which looks after almshouses for senior residents. He understands the workings of local government having previously represented nearby Warlingham on Tandridge District Council for twelve years.
