In Gianluca's own words

I have lived in London for 10 years, the day I became a citizen, I knew I wanted to give something back to the community that welcomed me. I joined the Liberal Democrats because their core values—tolerance, inclusion, and LGBTQ+ rights—are my values.

I am standing for Brixton Windrush because I believe our neighbourhood deserves better. For too long, the local Council has felt distant and disconnected. After the challenges of Brexit and the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, Brixton is struggling, and the current leadership has been absent when we needed them most.

I bring with me a lifelong passion for community organising, which began in my youth in Rome. I want to bridge the gap between the people of Brixton and the Town Hall.

My priorities for Brixton Windrush are:

• A Present Council: Creating a direct line of communication between residents and decision-makers.

• Equality & Inclusion: Championing the rights of our diverse community and protecting LGBTQ+ spaces.

• Local Recovery: Supporting our high streets and community hubs that have been neglected post-Brexit.

I want to be your voice, listen to your concerns, and be on the frontline to solve them. Let’s build a fairer, more connected Brixton together.
