In Scarlett's own words

I moved to Brixton in 1991, learned to swim at the Rec, studied at Brixton College, danced at the Lambeth Country Show and ran 5K round Brockwell Park.

Over the last four years as a Labour councillor, I have got to know the wealth of organisations in Brixton and actively supported the work that they do, from Southwyck Pantry to Brixton Library and the Street Gym to the Lambeth Schools Patrol. I regularly join the litter pick atLoughborough Park and throughout the pandemic I packed food parcels at the Food Hub in Brixton Rec.
