In Serafina's own words

Serafina Spicer has lived in Lambeth for the past five years and is standing in Brixton Windrush because she believes local people should have a real say over the decisions that shape their homes and neighbourhoods.

After facing steep and confusing charges in her own estate, Serafina founded and now leads a residents’ group bringing together three buildings to demand transparency and accountability from their housing provider. What began as conversations between neighbours has grown into organised meetings, detailed evidence-gathering and collective action. She has seen how quickly people can be dismissed when they act alone, and how powerful they are when they act together.

Serafina wants a council that backs residents, protects genuinely affordable housing and treats community groups as partners rather than obstacles. For her, Brixton’s strength lies in its people and in making sure they are heard.
