In Ben's own words

I moved to Ealing three years ago during my training at drama school. Since then, I’ve become very fond of the borough, acting as a bridge for me between the familiarity of my hometown and the enormousnous of London.

I’ve found the community to be welcoming and nurturing; looking out for its neighbours and the wider world. For me, I feel very passionate with the idea that something that brings us together is the arts. Fortunately, I have found that Ealing has a great relationship with the arts, through our local theatre, cinema and galleries. I’ve even had the pleasure of being able to bring theatre to our local primary schools.

I believe the arts can be an absolute champion for good but it is often overlooked, disregarded, or seen as a waste of time. I hope to build on it further in our community and prove that it has a place in everyone’s lives; Not only to entertain but I believe it can create change, build inclusion, and inspire.
