In Gary's own words

I grew up in Wigan and studied Genetics at Sheffield University before moving to London where I have lives in West London for over twenty years. I love mountaineering and cooking. I work in data roles and have spent time analysing data for the hospitality sector within marketing departments and also worked in market research.

I became a Lib Dem councillor in 2002 and did so after wanting to help solve problems rather than just blame the council for their mistakes. My greatest achievement was a group effort linking the Liberal Democrats with campaigners so we could save Warren Farm from being developed in a way that would kill off around 20 endangered species of birds, animals, bugs and plants. After the long running campaign where there was a rally with over 2000 people the Council back tracked!
