In Dominic's own words

Hello, my name is Dominic. I am a candidate for North Hanwell and the fundraising officer for Ealing Green Party.

I have been a member of the Green Party for about 5 years, switching after having grown more and more tired of watching Labour move away from my values, and developed growing concern about our path towards climate catastrophe. The Green Party feels like the only party willing to call out what needs to be done.

I have lived in Hanwell for just over a year and a half, but I absolutely love the community here. In that time, I have started a local Guerrilla gardening group – who I’m proud to say are transforming Hanwell’s green spaces – and spearheaded a campaign against plans for an exploitative 24-hour slots casino in the centre of Hanwell. I’ve also volunteered for ‘LAGER Can’ litter picking group to try and reduce litter in our area, working with the council to have extra bins installed in key areas like Hanwell station.

Although I’m fairly new to Hanwell, I’m all too aware of the issues that face it. If elected, I want to help North Hanwell defeat the blight of HMOs – both for the communities they sit in, but also to help stop vulnerable people being trapped as HMO residents in poor conditions that so often come with them.
