In Tegan's own words

I am honoured to be standing as a Green Party candidate to be one of your councillors in North Hanwell ward.

I am, barring the time I spent studying for my Geography degree in Nottingham, a lifelong resident of Northolt. After graduating during the pandemic, I worked in airport security at Heathrow, which helped me develop skills as an effective communicator and taught me how rewarding it was to work with the public, solving problems. I now work as a private tutor for primary and secondary school pupils whilst continuing my own education, and in my spare time I enjoy gardening and foraging, through which I’ve learnt how crucial to our everyday lives protecting our local environment is.

Living in the borough of Ealing has shaped my life and I feel very fortunate to have been raised in such a diverse, beautiful and welcoming community. But I’ve also seen how our borough has suffered in recent years. I’ve long had an interest in politics, but I was driven to become more politically active after witnessing first-hand how soaring rental costs were pricing my generation out of the housing market and forcing young people to leave our community just to be able to afford to start a family. I joined the Green Party in 2025 because, under the leadership of Zack Polanski, the Greens are the only party offering a progressive vision of Britain. One that rejects the politics of hate and distrust threatening to divide our communities, and which stands up for all of us.

As your councillor, I want to focus on the housing crisis in our borough. In particular, I’ll pressure the council to prioritise true affordability, sustainability and the needs of locals over developers’ profits when building new housing. I also want to work on improving access for all to our parks and green spaces, and on delivering improvements in safety and accessibility for walking and cycling.
